Politically Correct Khutbahs?

Living in the West, barely a day passes without a negative mention of Islaam or Muslims in the Media. Many Muslims will argue that if only Muslims controlled the Media, Islaam would get a positive portrayal. Although there is some truth in this sentiment, it is a fatalistic mentality. We Muslims fail to utilise the one weekly media slot that we do have a monopoly over. This slot is available once a week for approximately one hour. It has a global audience of several million. I’m referring of course to the Friday Khutbah (sermon), delivered weekly in Masjids across the world.

Unfortunately, where many Imams have failed to comprehend that the Khutbah is an effective means of media in influencing the Muslim mindset, the British government seems to have grasped that concept rather well. Government guidelines (and cash incentives) for Imams often results in khutbahs that I call SAS: “Safe Apolitical Sermons”. These are on monotonous topics that are virtually impossible to be arrested for under the Prevention of Terrorism Act. The favourite subject is wudu, the obligatory ablution made prior to performing salah (prayer). I have yet to hear an Imam deliver a riveting khutbah based on Wudu. Admittedly, it is not the most stimulating of topics. And let’s face it: if you’re attending Jumu’ah prayer, it’s not likely that you need to be taught how to make wudu.

Many years ago Sheikh Anwar al-Awlaqi remarked that during the time of the Spanish inquisition, whilst the streets of Andalusia ran with Muslim blood, the Jumuah khutbahs would focus on wudu, dhikr and other such innocuous topics. The political situation was completely avoided by Imams in the weekly sermon – due to fear of arrest. Evidently many Imams today are following this same craven path.

Imams, while we’re on the subject, fall into two prevalent groups, with very few exceptions. The first type is the Imam who behaves as if he is attending his citizenship ceremony rather than delivering a khutbah. A strong South Asian accent will emphatically proclaim “This country is very good. Very nice. Good for Muslims.” The obligatory side-to-side head waggling punctuates such patriotic pronouncements. The vast majority of his congregation have, unlike him, been born in the UK. The Khutbah fails to address, inspire or keep the attention of the congregation. Some will draw their shemaghs over their faces and discreetly doze off. The Friday Khutbah is attended as a routine habit.

The second type of Imam is the British-born, educated modernist. He too will extol the virtues of living in Britain, but is a far more engaging and dangerous speaker than the former. Quite often, prophetic traditions are distorted in order to give the false impression that there is nothing in Islaam that is incompatible with British culture and values. The listener often leaves the Masjid more confused about Islaam than when he entered. I once attended a khutbah delivered by such an Imam. He delivered the message of forgiveness and turning the other cheek. He urged Muslims not to retaliate even when faced with aggression. He cited the example of a family in the US whose daughter had been killed in an islamaphobic attack, yet they urged the Muslim community to show restraint. He drew an analogy between this family and the Conquest of Makkah. He explained that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), like this family, had forgiven the majority of his enemies, the very ones who had been killing the Muslims for a number of years.

It disturbed me that the Imam (purposely) failed to mention that prior to the Conquest of Makkah, the Prophet (SAW) had fought numerous battles with this same enemy and slaughtered many of them. Only after having gained dominance over his enemies, did he (SAW) march into Makkah with ten thousand followers, to peacefully take over the city and forgive whilst being in a position of strength. This is far removed from the scenario of an understandably intimidated family begging the community not to exact revenge. I didn’t consider that mentioning the Conquest of Makkah in its true context would have had the Imam indefinitely locked up in HMP Belmarsh, but perhaps he differed with me on that estimation.

Another time, I attended a masjid where the Imam was praising the British value of freedom of speech. He made the valid point that in the UK, one is free to stand at Speakers’ Corner and criticise the Government. He compared this to the oppressive regimes in Egypt, Saudi and Syria, where such proclamations would result in the disappearance of the one making them. Ironically, as the khutbah ended, a member of the congregation stood up and disputed with the Imam over a controversial point of fiqh. Instead of answering the young man’s questions, the committee panicked and immediately switched off the speakers. Needless to say, I was left with the cynical thought: what happened to freedom of speech?!

Imams need to deliver khutbahs that are inspiring and relevant to their respective communities. It is imperative that they utilise the Friday Khutbah’s potential to counter the misinformation which media sources use against Muslims everywhere in the world. The agenda of our Imams should be to educate their congregation with the pure unadulterated form of Islaam, rather than introduce a politically correct or British variation. Our Imams must resist the temptation to prostitute our religious values for a few pieces of silver. Islaam entails submission to Allah. Whilst our religion has its roots in Makkah and Madinah, it is a universal message. You cannot re-label it to read “Made in England”. 

Muslim Nah Vote

If this Rastafarian can come out and say he won’t vote because that would be participating in the babylon system, then why should we have less baraa than those weed-smoking, man-worshiping pagans. We are more worthy to be like this than they. They are a people who do not even worship Isa ibn Maryam (as) but worship a deceased king as the second coming of Isa! Astaghfirullah! Muslims should be ashamed of ourselves to let them surpass us in baraa and in justice in general! We’re scared to say we shouldn’t vote because it sounds too “extremist” for our beloved kaffirs’ ears. But he comes out and says he won’t simply because it is wrong and the system is the Anti-Christ…. and doesn’t hesitate for the blink of an eye! Don’t let them surpass us for too long. Allah can take Islam away from us and give it to them overnight should He decide and nothing could stop Him.

Mistakes of the American Civil Rights Movement

After discussion with an African American brother in the US we came to realize that the civil rights movement failed in almost every way possible. Now we might say “How so?” and “Where would America be with out it?” but the statistics available on Black Americans shows its failings. It’s easy for me to sit here in the Bahamas and say they failed but we were also under the heel of the British Crown and Parliament until recently. Mentally we still are in some ways. The following is where Brother GCA’s writing begins:

The damage done to Black Americans is worse after the Civil Rights Struggle we went through in the 50s and 60s than it was before then. Prior to the Civil Rights Movement the Klu Klux Klan lynched Black people in the south. After the CRM, the KKK is no longer necessary to this aim as Black Americans destroy each other. Before desegregation, “Blood” still meant the red fluid in our arteries and the word “Crip” was unknown. Before desgregation, we had our own businesses in their communities supported by Black patrons. We had no knowledge of African history or even African pride but we took pride in moral superiority over whites and therefore kept certain things out of the community. The communities organizedly raised the children collectively, so parents who had to work long hours or died knew that their children would still be raised. Children could eat from anyone’s house but they could also be chastised by anyone for bad behavior. Black manhood was not defined by one’s gang affiliation or time spent in prison, even in the poorest of neighborhoods.

Now with the Civil Rights Movement a memory and its so-called victories obvious to us, the Black community in America is losing its men and its children. Its men are going to prisons for longer sentences than whites and with less evidence for convictions. Its men aren’t in the community to raise the children. Its women have to be mothers and fathers and they’re so tired of Black men that growing numbers of them are refusing to even marry Black men anymore. “By now, these facts shouldn’t be hard to grasp. Almost 70 percent of black children are born to single mothers. Those mothers are far more likely than married mothers to be poor, even after a post-welfare-reform decline in child poverty. They are also more likely to pass that poverty on to their children. Sophisticates often try to dodge the implications of this bleak reality by shrugging that single motherhood is an inescapable fact of modern life, affecting everyone from the bobo Murphy Browns to the ghetto “baby mamas.” Not so; it is a largely low-income—and disproportionately black—phenomenon. The vast majority of higher-income women wait to have their children until they are married. The truth is that we are now a two-family nation, separate and unequal—one thriving and intact, and the other struggling, broken, and far too often African-American.” (quote taken from http://www.city-journal.org/html/15_3_black_family.html) At year end 2006 there were 3,042 black male sentenced prisoners per 100,000 black males in the United States, compared to 1,261 Hispanic male sentenced prisoners per 100,000 Hispanic males. Or you can read this page and see that many Black families are in a permanent recession even when white America is in a boom. In 2005, the poorest Black families earned on average 43.4% of the income of the poorest whites.

To make for easier reading, the mistakes made in their movement are in a list format below.

• Unconditional non-violence. Their community is now the most self-destructive one in America. The Muslims are already hurtling towards this.
• Requesting integration with those who hated them. (Hamza Yusuf)
• Not seeking separation or dominance.
• Not being prepared to die in armed resistance to their mistreatment, but being ready to die or be injured in non-violence.
• Rejecting and ridiculing Malcolm X when he was alive. He is loved by the community now more than before his assassination (martyrdom).
• Rejecting Islam as the base for their movement when Malcolm made the transition while accepting to make the church its base before this.
• Being too easily impressed by good speeches and good preaching.
• Not opposing the interests of white America enough and compromising too much.
• Ridiculing those of us who advocated leaving America.
• Fighting in the military for this country.
• Imitating those same people against whom they were fighting.
• Leniency with each other for moral lapses like adultery and drug use.
• Rumor-mongering.
• Inherently distrusting other Black people. Muslims have already arrived at this level.
• Being less reliable and trustyworthy to other Blacks than they would be to whites. Muslims have also arrived at this level.

Numbers 5 and 6 reflect the gravest of the errors. The movement has come in various forms and organizations, all of which refused to make Islam their ideological base. The Black Panther Party is a great example of this. They took a part of Malcom X’s philosophy (self-determination and self-defense) and left the Islam. Eldridge Cleaver wound up attempting to mix Islam with Christianity into a synthesized Chrislam. It failed miserably, as did he. He took his stand and shot at some police officers, only to surrender by removing all of his clothes and putting his hands up. The young brother with him in that attack on some police cars, Hutton, refused to take off his underwear and expose his privates to the surrounding police officers, therefore he was shot in the back trying to surrender. Eldridge Cleaver eventually became a born-again Christian and Republican, completely selling out. In the movement of Black Americans, this was equivalent to apostasy from a Muslim. Huey Newton eventually became strung-out on drugs. The Black Panther party as a whole turned on itself as its leaders began to believe forged letters written to them by the FBI, with signatures of other leaders being forged and affixed to them. Those who are still alive are just shells of their former selves, and those who have died have been disgraced in their lives and deaths, even Martin Luther King. Only Malcolm X lived and died with dignity and has remained unblamed since his death. No one can come out now and say that he was involved in any corruption after his Islam. He has been absolved of all charges of adultery by his wife and associates before anyone could ever say otherwise. Women who met him observed and told of how he kept a respectful distance.

But Martin Luther King was eventually exposed for adultery by his best friend, Ralph David Abernathy. Jesse Jackson is now so pathetic that he needs no explaining by me. “Up with hope, down with dope.” Shut up, Jesse, hope you choke. Al Sharpton is the one leader remaining who is still trying but there is so little he can do with a people so damaged, especially when he is dependent on hair relaxer. Louis Farrakhan is still not Muslim as of 2008. He has met with Snoop Doggy Dogg and called him a prophet and leader. The trouble is Snoop Doggy Dogg is merely an entertainer, not a prophet by a long shot. But the people are so lost that this is what results. This level of loss and deviance awaits the Muslim community as Shaytan lies in wait to capitalize on what our enemies are planning for us.

Muslims must not ignore the struggle of Black Americans or its mistakes. Nor must they ignore the present condition of the community. Without learning from the mistakes of their resistance movements, we’ll quickly fall into worse than those conditions.

Despite what Flanstein said in his comment I did re-enter the US on a business and leisure trip. I went to New Orleans and met my brother in Islam from Baton Rouge. We saw Bourbon Street as we crossed it going elsewhere, and he pointed out to me the gay flags on a far end of it. It was a row of gay bars at the end of Bourbon Street where even heterosexual women would go drink without being hit on after failing to snag rich male party-goers. This was not just during Mardi-Gras, but every single weekend night. My brother knows the party scene from his jahil days before his Islam and he enlightened me to what was going on in it. After hearing that and then seeing the storefront signs I saw I have to say something that is very harsh; no wonder New Orleans was punished!

I used to visith New Orelans frequently for business reasons before and right after my Islam so I know what it had to offer. But despite what the liberals say Allah does punish and He does so with severity. Especially when the sins are open and done proudly like they still are in New Orleans. Because of that punishment from Katrina New Orleans now has little to offer that it used to. The halal and wholesome things it had now are gone. There is only Mardi Gras and debauchery. Eat, drink, and party until you puke it all back up and have to sleep it off. No wonder New Orleans got punished!

I also learned its role in American corruption. Louisiana makes so much money for America through the off-shore oil rigs that the national economy cannot survive without it. Texas right next door joined the Union under much more favorable terms to itself and less favorable to the Union. Texas keeps more of its oil money, almost all of it. Louisiana gives so much of it to the federal government in exchange for so little in exchange that it is actually an oppressed colony more than it is a state of its union. If Louisiana kept the same percentage of its oil money that Texas does, the people of the state would be as wealthy as Kuwaiti citizens are without paying taxes. Louisiana would have to import labor from outside and could get luxury cars like Lexus models for all of its citizens. Instead, waste is dumped there, revenues are taken, and the infrastructure is inferior to what we have in the Bahamas. But with the US losing in Afghanistan and in Iraq, this would be a great time for Louisiana to:

1. negotiate its independence to avoid further divine punishment
2. negotiate to keep a larger share of its revenues in exchange for more help from the national government, or
3. break away on its own terms and cease paying anything at all to anyone except trading partners and Louisianans.

Though I am from another country and have no loyalty to Louisiana or any non-Muslim jurisdictions I must say that I like the 3rd option best. It would further embarrass America and it would give sincere mujahideen a foothold into it. Of course, America could also except Islam and avoid all of this. Hurricanes, conquest, and everything else it cannot handle. Islam has solutions to all of its major problems encoded in it, and it is in America’s best interest to accept Islam without being conquered first by itself and enemies and being ripped apart as it is. America is being warned after it has already been partially destroyed already by Ivan, Katrina, Rita, mortgage crises, rising debt, and the loss of its youth to wars against Muslims.

What Ali Sina and Company needs to know

The leading apostate of cyberspace, whose website I’ll not give, Ali Sina, has this to say about Islam.

We came to see that Islam is a hoax. It is an imperialistic ideology, disguised as religion, invented by Muhammad for his own personal gains. Isn’t this alone proof enough that Islam is satanic? Our goal is to expose this religion of terror and warn of its danger. We also want to help Muslims see the stupidity of it, end their “us” vs. “them” ethos and embrace the human race in amity. No one is their enemy, it is they who are the enemy to everyone else. We strive for the unity of mankind through the elimination of Islam, the most insidious doctrine of hate. Humanity is one.; let not charlatans like Hitler and Muhammad divide us with their big lies.

Islam can’t be reformed, but it can be eradicated. It can’t be molded, but it can be smashed. It is rigid, but brittle. That is why Muhammad could not tolerate criticism of it. To eradicate Islam, all we have to do is tell the truth. It’s that simple. This was not possible before, but with the help of the Internet, it is now. The asininity of this creed is so glaringly obvious that boggles the mind. All it takes to see that is to read the Quran.

Listen here Sina. If Allah is Owner and Lord of all that exists because He created it, there is no need for His prophet to make up an imperialist ideology. Your cherished Western world has the imperialist ideology, not Allah. He already owns the empire, it is we human beings in rebellion. Muhammad (saws) never ordered for himself a palace built, nor did he levy taxes on his people for his own salary, nor did he increase his share of the spoils of war that was appointed for him in Surah Anfal, verse 41. He stuck with his share which would really translate to less than the fifth mentioned for he himself personally. Here he is, a man with 9 wives and children to look after, yet he never increased this! You have some nerve to say such a thing as you say about him! His militancy and his gumption was never for himself individually. He wasn’t egotistic! His gumption and militancy, and his “imperialism” as you call his expansionism was for the sake of all religion being Allah’s alone.

Only Allah knows all that is in Paradise and no Muslim claims to know this for oneself. We know about Paradise what Allah told us through Muhammad (saws). There is nothing bogus about this All-Owning Allah promising paradise and promising hell with full intent to keep those promises.

In this second half, Muhammad’s followers weren’t foolhardy at all. They knew truth and they accepted it. Ibrahim had not just built the Kaaba before, he had militantly opposed tawagheet in his tawheed! In addition to leaving his father, look at what Ibrahim (as) said to Allah in a dua mentioned in Surah 14, verse 35. And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! make this city secure, and save me and my sons from worshipping idols. That’s militancy! Ibrahim is asking Allah to not give him offspring that leave the fold of Islam and to make Mecca secure from idolatry. He never said Oh Allah, give me children who will be secular humanists like Ali Sina. He didn’t even want idolatry in his family again! The Arabs knew this and still worshiped idols because they got it from India and were impressed with what the Indians had. They thought the wealth made the Hindus superior to themselves and yet Allah gave victory over them to Muhammad (saws) and his followers who had rejected this foolishness. Then, they only started plundering caravans after the Meccans had plundered them in their absence and headed for Syria to trade what they stole! They proved that kaffirs like you will always plunder Muslims of our wealth, never condemn it! Then when Muslim retaliate in kind like anyone else, you and your kaffir-loving friends will join them in saying the plunderers were the innocents! But neither plunder nor kufr are innocent! And the Meccans they plundered were not innocent of either crime! There was no pretext that they were infidels, they themselves knew they were infidels and were proud of it, knowing that Ibrahim worshiped only Allah and that Allah was supreme! He looted them, enslaved them and raped their women. Minus the rape, that’s how you topple a people from power over you. And who better deserves to be toppled from power than the evil people of the world. Make no mistake, kufr is evil, but tyranny of the kuffar is intolerable. The Meccans tyrannized the Muslims as Pharaoh tyrannized the Bani Israel! Allah destroyed Pharaoh with no human agents, but when he revealed Quran he told Muslims to participate in the toppling of idols and tyrants themselves! Muhammad and his followers obeyed because if they had not toppled the Quraysh then evil would always be stronger than good like it is today. As for your rape charge, women were taken as concubines but rape is forbidden in Islam. The evidence that they weren’t raped comes from many of them becoming Muslim themselves.

According to you no criminal should be punished for their crimes because that would be using terror to protect the good from the bad. Good luck in your world, house nigger. Then why did 6 million Jews die in Germany in less than 4 years when Muslims have killed very few in any offensive operations in our 1429 year history? And why did a hundred million plus die in the Middle Passage when Africa was plundered for slaves. A hundred million! One zero short of a billion! We haven’t killed that many because we haven’t yet killed 6 million! But by being strong we haven’t had to, have we? We never needed to until we became weak and everyone decided to divide our wealth between themselves. Don’t talk to us about being responsible for death, house nigger! Your country had to be conquered by Umar (ra) to accept Islam only because Arabs received the revelation before Persians did! When it was preached to your ancestors with kindness, they fought with arrogance. When Persia was conquered with force they then became Muslim…… not dhimmies but Muslims! Now with Islam being persecuted, you leave and act like them and this is why I refer to you as a house nigger repeatedly.

People know Islam is right and they fight against us still, that makes them enemies. There has never been unity of mankind, but the only good reason for human beings to be divided like we are is that of morality. Rejecting to worship Allah who made us is immoral beyond even murder and rape. Because that rejection makes the other two right in the minds of the rejector, ie the kaffir. Humanity is not one because we have free will and we have conscience. With a conscience and still a refusal to do what is right, those who insist on what is right will have to reject the others. Friendship with thieves is unaffordable to the honest and righteous. An honest man cannot afford to harbor a thief in his house, can he? They can never be equal. Humanity is one biological entity, not one nation. And for the reasons of genocide I mentioned above do not refer to Muhammad (saws) and Hitler as equals again! Hitler was upset that his Jewish relatives rejected him, Muhammad never harmed a Jew until they fought him, which they did only because he was Arab and not from Prophet Isaac’s line, (as). Sort of like the Persians rejecting Islam because it came through the Arabs and not through themselves or the Romans…. house nigger.

Islam can’t be reformed… It doesn’t need reform! It calls for the overthrowing of evil which includes rejecting to worship Allah, by the righteous who worship Allah alon. It calls for the forcible replacement of corruption with good and honesty. People have tried every measure of reform, and force has always worked whether used by the wrong side or the right side first. It would be like calling for the reform of the DEA and not because they have been caught taking bribes or planting evidence but because they used force and guns to arrest a drug runner and clean the place from him. Then telling the DEA to talk drug dealers into turning themselves in and confessing on their own. Your parable is much worse.

To eradicate Islam, all we have to do is tell the truth. It’s that simple. Actually that’s not what you do not to eradicate the deen. It’s what you do to eradicate the weak Muslims from among our ranks! Islam is revolutionary and it is revolution itself. When some of the Cubans began to take boats to sail for Florida and leave Cuba forever, President InFidel Castro of Cuba said they were bad for his revolution so “Let them go! They are counter-revolutionary! Let them go! For we don’t want them! We don’t need them!” This is an infidel kaffir saying this! Our stance is that Allah deserves this honor more than any human head of state (democratic or communist) of having ideological weaklings removed from His ranks! This is a revolution to supercede all other revolutions! It’s for the highest of reasons and callings! Why should we be weaklings and counter-revolutionaries when our cause is universally right! You condemn mujahideen who migrate to Somalia or Iraq or Afghanistan and tell Muslims to meet some challenge of yours. House nigger, they have exceeded your challenge! They have left every familiarity in their lives and challenged and taken on the armed and powerful governments. Some who stay in America and Canada have challenged and taken on the police forces and the big bad FBI. They remain on the truth when it’s hard. You have sold yourself out to be safe from them and have given up the truth because it’s hard to admit it. You have already lost, there is no more challenge, and here is the example for why I say this. The police forces and the system of government in the west persecutes more then just Muslims. Other groups also get mistreated. If the police zero in on you because you’re dark and foreign and they don’t know you’re a sell-out murtad, they might pull you over and plant evidence against you to say you’re a terrorist. You’ll pull over and let them hand-cuff you, you’ll call them sir or lady. You’ll submit. You’ll agree to their terms which are to fight legally and within the same system that is stacked against you. When coalition soldiers kick in the doors of the mujahideen in Iraq, they are met with gunfire and takbirs. They have to shoot for their lives and they are still killed dead for it. They go back to their countries missing a limb or they go back in coffins. They go back addicted to drugs. They go back crazy and depressed. They go back a drain on their economies. The mujahideen make sure that is too expensive to wrong the Muslims, while you would do nothing to make it too expensive to frame you for exactly what you are emphatically condemning to win their approval. You have already lost.

I’m in Mexico on business at the time I write this. I get a rare opportunity to see what they’re saying about America from this distance away since the Bahamas are right next door and we usually get an American perspective on TV. They usually think I’m American because I speak English, but when I tell them I’m Caribbean they open up and apologize for mistaking me for them. They aren’t even Muslims there! They’re telling me how they don’t care what happens in America because they’re tired of America polluting their water and air to make a profit! They tell me all Americans care about is money and pleasure and they’re tired of their country having to be a certain way to appease the US. In the northern border cities they have gunfights because of the drug trade. You know who they blame? You Americans for the drug demand you have that brought Colombian cocaine through their cities in the first place! Not even your government! Just you! The normal American stuck in traffic and drinking on the weekends to relieve stress. You know what a lot of them think about illegal immigration in your county! Many say you made their country poor with your corporations and your greed! They want you Americans to have to deal with their poverty since you and Spain caused it they say! Your neighbor right next door! Your friend! A catholic country! A lot of the Mexicans here working in tourism are actually born in America and moved south to escape your racism! They are from Los Angeles and Houston and such cities and they got tired of your double standards for different people! What does that have to do with this, you say? Many of them weren’t sad about 9/11 when it happened to your country! Most of them didn’t even care when your embassies got bombed in the 90s! They see you as what I called you before, Dajjal Consumers who make vices profitable and make good things unprofitable. So while apostates like Ali Sina and Company are embarrassed to be Muslims because of 9/11, even other Christians in Latin America felt America needed a punch in the nose and they’re rooting for the Muslims in Iraq! When making a business purchase last night I met this man whose brother in America had signed up with the American army so he could get citizenship, and he said he wasn’t talking to him anymore! A Catholic Mexican with a crucifix around his neck felt so strongly against America that when he learned I was Muslim he asked why I wasn’t in Iraq helping them against America! Soon, man, soon. Not Iraq, but somewhere. But until then I have to watch out for apostates worse than Ali Sina because they’d rather spy on us for a pat on the back. If you find Islam so hard to hold on to that you’d rather leave then you need to get out of America quick fast and in a hurry. Before you end up like Ali Sina, a house nigger.

Freedom and “Free Dumb”

The other day I was asked by a co-worker on contract from America “Isn’t Islam fundamentally a peaceful religion?” I said to him that it’s peaceful in the context of contracts and agreements and it’s all about war when the message of Islam is surpressed or when we’re attacked in any way. I got this knowledge and inspiration from someone else back in his country a while ago and I admired how he was brave enough to truthfully answer a hard question posed to him.

Since then I’ve been asked about freedom and I must wonder why there is still such an emphasis on freedom even to the extent that businesses and societies fail from the excess. It brought to mind a scene in a movie about the war on drugs being fought in Mexico and America. (Not Traffic). When a wanted fugitive just got on a plane openly and flew off despite the police sent to arrest him an American asked one of the police men why he was let go. The cop said to him it’s because the society let the drug traffickers grow too big. And this is something that was not legal in either country!

My brother on his own website has said “The problem with the Western version of “freedom” is that it gives ability for evil to become strong… The Islaamic System wishes to not allow evil to spread or strengthen itself. This is the major difference between the two freedoms. Our freedom, in Islaam, is meant to strengthen all ways for us to become morally acceptable in the eyes of Allah whilst at the same time, making it harder for us to become immoral.” I couldn’t have said it better than that. I don’t read about the word freedom much in the Qur’an or in the hadiths but I also never saw it much in the Bible I read it as a kaffir. Morality, whether Christian or Islamic, contains its own freedom and it is limited compared to the freedom in a democracy. It has to be limited so because immorality does not cease to have bad consequences just because a society legalizes it. I like to use the example of stealing because it really sums it up. If stealing under a certain dollar amount (let us say $100 like it is in your country) becomes legal or even just under-punished, then it becomes more profitable to steal the items that cost less than that than it is to trade/work. Then the merchants must charge at least the hundred dollar value for their goods to be protected by the harder laws and consequences. That along with theft itself drives up the prices of goods for everyone alike. Then theft becomes more necessary for some to just get by. That drives up the prices even more. You see where the cycle is headed if theft becomes legal period or is just not even punished harshly enough? Then consider this fact, it already exists to a lesser degree because it is illegal and punished, but not punished harshly enough to make it a rare occurrence.

The next example I can use is that of strip-dancing for money because it is legal and in America it thrives with its sister vice of prostitution. It’s illegal in the Bahamas so it exists underground and therefore many of us don’t know even where to find them. When I visited a cousin who was in college in Florida, I saw how popular strip clubs were there. Here, the places are dangerous, especially for tourists. There, they were open and the police were even there to provide security. I wasn’t Muslim yet but I had to leave after a while of standing in line. It was beneath me to pay to see someone strip and dance, we regard that as a low thing that only ugly men have to do. But non-flash photography was allowed in there so he showed me photos later after making fun of me for going back to my hotel. But when I asked what drove the women to do this for men they don’t know and are likely wearing wedding rings like I saw in line, he and his roommate told me how they usually do it to earn a living or pay for school. They work a few hours at night and have more time to study but they collect so much in tips that it becomes foolish for them to work normal jobs even if they’re available. That’s what freedom does. It takes the honest ambitious women we want our wives and daughters to be. You ready for this? Then it makes them into the harlots we don’t want them to be by paying ‘free’ market value for their sex and nakedness!

Freedom in Islam includes freedom to strip-dance for your husband or for your wife, without having to worry about your daughters becoming exhibitionists because it’s so easy and it’s the only way to pay for school! There is freedom in Islam, but what we have here in the west, increasingly even in my country, is just freedom to be dumb. Free-dumb is nothing worth fighting for let alone dying for it. Free-dumb is even more worthless a thing to fight for than oil! Real Freedom with a capital F is only in rebelling against the oppression of human beings who rule as though they are Allah. Freedom worth fighting for is only that of freedom to live a life a worth living, and a life worth living is only that of a Muslim once the message of Islam has reached the ears. Once one knows of Islam, all else is either one extreme of oppression and confinement, the opposite extreme of free-dumb, or even some vile concoction of those two. I chose to live a life worth living, one that results in an eternal life worth living afterwards.
